Some 20 local playwrights with a connection to Theatre Odyssey attended a workshop Nov. 15 by playwright Dipika Guha, author of “The Art of Gaman” and “The Mechanics of Love.” A visiting fellow of The Hermitage Artist Retreat, where the workshop was held, Ms Guha used Aristotle’s six elements of dramatic structure (plot, character, theme, language, music, spectacle) as a starting place to prompt her students to approach their work with a different perspective, encouraging greater creativity.
