Stephen Cooper’s play, Confessions a Deux, competed with seven other ten-minute plays April 6-8 at the Westcoast Black Theater Troupe playhouse. Confessions a Deux is the story of two Catholic Priests who learn through the confessional that they are involved with the same woman. They eventually agree to absolve each other and to continue their bad behavior. Confessions a Deux was performed before sold out audiences. Catherine Randazzo, Artistic Director, remarked that Stephen Cooper’s handling of a sensitive subject with humor was very entertaining.
Stephen Cooper, a Longboat Key resident and retired professor from the University of Michigan Medical School has written many plays, some of which have been produced in New York and as far away as Australia.
